Building Advocates and Influence In Your Organization

Are you exhausted by taking on the systems of oppression in your workplace all by yourself? Do you need your coworkers to step up when it comes to allyship? In this workshop participants learn techniques for effectively building their team of allies.

The Cultivating Allyship 101 virtual workshop is specifically designed to address the unique concerns of individuals who are underrepresented or marginalized in their workplace.

Participants will:

• Learn how to identify your individual needs and determine your best sources of support.

• Overcome obstacles to engage with others in partnerships that advance action.

• Identify individual and group similarities and differences that will help you on your journey towards empowerment.

• Broaden your understandings of your own experiences and acquire tools for getting what you need from others to improve your confidence and effectiveness at work.

Offered as a 90-minute workshop with a 30-minute Q&A session, this virtual workshop is scheduled from 10:30 AM to 12:00 NOON Central Time. This workshop will run on WED JUNE 30, 2021. Registration closes on MON JUNE 28, 2021.
